We’re recruiting an experienced Senior Engineer to take a leading role on a flagship civil engineering scheme in Britain’s Ocean City.

The Role

Based on site within the operational team, you will take ownership of one of three major work sections on this high-profile scheme.
As Senior Engineer, you’ll combine hands-on delivery with technical leadership, ensuring works are executed safely, accurately and to programme.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading engineering delivery across your section of works
• Managing and mentoring junior engineers
• Coordinating and overseeing specialist subcontractors
• Attending and contributing to client meetings
• Driving programme, quality and safety compliance on site
• Checking and drafting RAMS
• Liaising with commercial teams on progress and change
• Collaborating with site management and technical teams
• Contributing to engineering problem-solving on complex RC works

This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility and influence on site.

About You

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer who is comfortable in technically demanding environments and confident leading from the front.
You’ll bring:

• Local to Plymouth
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior or Section Engineer
• Strong experience on large civil engineering projects
• Proven delivery of complex reinforced concrete structures
• Marine project experience desirable
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments advantageous
• Strong understanding of quality-led delivery and engineering controls
• Confident communication skills and leadership presence
• HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
• Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
