They are now looking for a Bid Manager – National Frameworks to join their established Frameworks Team, supporting the successful pursuit and management of major national construction frameworks.

The role

As Bid Manager, you’ll lead the work-winning process across key framework opportunities, covering client engagement, bid strategy, bid writing and overall bid management.

Working with multidisciplinary teams across the business, responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full bid lifecycle from pre-tender and SQ through ITT, clarifications, governance and contract execution.
  • Developing bid plans, programmes, responsibility matrices, trackers and resource schedules.
  • Writing and coordinating high-quality prequalification and tender submissions.
  • Managing technical input from internal specialists and external consultants.
  • Leading bid strategy workshops, progress meetings and review gateways.
  • Developing market intelligence and appropriate bid strategies.
  • Managing client information, clarifications and associated actions.
  • Ensuring submissions are compliant, well presented and delivered on time.
  • Working with graphics teams to improve the visual quality of submissions.
  • Conducting bid reviews and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Working with regional teams on local frameworks and call-off projects.
  • Preparing information for Tender Settlement and internal governance.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, framework partners and internal teams.

What they’re looking for

This opportunity requires an established Bid Manager with:

  • Current or previous experience with a Tier 1 construction contractor.
  • Current experience operating at Bid Manager level.
  • Proven success securing positions on National Frameworks, such as DfE CF21 / CF25, P23 and CCS.
  • National-level experience bidding for major projects valued at £100m+.
  • Strong framework tender and construction bid management experience.
  • A track record of writing successful tender submissions.
  • The ability to develop and draft persuasive tender responses.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly when coordinating regional, digital, sustainability and social value teams.
  • Flexibility during key tender deadlines when required.
