Mechanical Project Manager sought in Bristol (South West, mobile).
We are working with a diverse building services specialist, prioritising efficiency, quality and compliance as they design, install & maintain small & large-scale projects across the South West. At present our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead their team of professionals. Ideally seeking somebody with solid experience in the retail sector, preferably with a background in HVAC engineering with strong M&E understanding, however we are open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience, authority, and qualifications.

Daily Duties of a Mechanical Project Manager:
- Take accountability for the project Health & Safety including toolbox talks / site audits and ensuring all aspects of the site are carried out in line with current legislation
- Hold responsibility for expenditure on projects allocated
- Lead the post project completion phase working with administration teams
- Be available at programme critical times including outside of normal working hours (travel and flexibility is essential in this role)
- Collaborate with the client’s respective management teams and stakeholders and liaising with supply chain
- Ensure all customer requests are acknowledged and contractual obligations are met
- Hold responsibility for the procurement and coordination of materials, utilising better buying practices to maximise commercial gain
- Ensure sufficient installation labour is sourced to meet the project requirements
- Ensure all projects are closed within the timelines agreed
- To be a thorough and confident leader of people, skilled and experienced enough to take the lead in the mechanical team of trained professionals
What you’ll need to succeed as a Mechanical Project Manager:
- Strong leadership ability with great people & time management skills
- Experience working in the retail sector
- Experience of both M&E services
- 5+ years’ experience of successfully delivering relevant building services contracts
- Commercial awareness & the ability to communicate at all levels
- IT competent – all key office products to an advanced level
- Strong knowledge of health and safety & the environment
